Water Distribution provides services for our Campus water, irrigation, sewer, and storm systems, which include:

Clean and maintain Campus sewers and storm drain systems at buildings

Install and maintain water metering devices

Manage and maintain campus water distribution systems

Test fire hydrants and backflow devices
Connections to a UC Merced fire hydrant require a completed permit, backflow, and meter. Please contact FM Help at 209-228-2986 for information on how to get this service. Temporary Water Service Permit
The City of Merced’s Water System Division provides potable water for the campus.
