Dear Campus Community,
I would like to personally welcome you to the new Facilities Management website. We are excited to offer you the information contained in this site, as well as guidance in hopes that your experience in requesting and receiving our services are pleasant and exceed your expectations.
We are a diverse department that includes Transportation, Fleet and Parking, Campus Services, Physical Plant Operations, FM Sustainable Operations, FM Facilities Managers, and our Business Operations.
Our goal is to provide you, our customer, with extraordinary services at the least possible cost.
We strive to stretch our professional and collegial activity into research (in collaboration with faculty on reducing the cost of chilled water/electricity to plant operations/wind studies), teaching (participating in sustainable lecture series with undergraduates) and in public service (active support of the United Way and other community involvement). The University of California has a rich history, and we are proud that our campus brings that tradition to the Central Valley and Sierra Nevada foothills.
We recently completed a customer satisfaction survey of five of our units: FM Help, Skilled Trades, Shipping and Receiving, Mail and Document Services, and Lock and Access Services. Our approval rating was mostly in the 90th percentile, and we are proud that Lock and Access attained a 98% satisfaction rating. With that in mind, we promise to continue improving our services whenever possible.
