Facilities Management provides recycling, compost, and landfill waste education to participating campus partners in support of the University's sustainability goals.

FY27 Waste & Recycing Service Update

Beginning FY27, centralized sorting of recyclable materials by Facilities Management will be discontinued. Building occupants will be responsible for properly separating recyclable, compostable, and landfill materials at the point of disposal.

  • Refuse Sorting: Building occupants will be responsbile for placing materials in the appropriate recycling, compost, or landfil containers.
    • Proper seperation at the point of disposal is essential to maintaining effective waste divsersion and reducing the amount of recyclable and compostable materials sent to landfill.
